London based couturier Omar Mansoor has been creating a Royal Ascot collection since 2009 and this year is no exception.
All of the dresses in this capsule collection adhere to the strict dress code of the Royal Enclosure.
A reminder of the dress code for the Royal Enclosure is:
- Dresses and skirts should fall just above the knee or longer (lace and chiffon fabrics are permitted)
- Shoulder straps must have a minimum width of 1 inch / 2.5cm
- Jackets and pashminas may be worn. Tops and dresses beneath must still comply
- Trouser suits are welcome and should be of matching material and colour
- Jumpsuits should fall below the knee and comply with the shoulder strap requirements
- Hats must be worn. However, a headpiece or hatinator with a minimum base diameter of 4 inches / 10cm is acceptable.
The above dress has been teamed with the Galina Ulanova hat by milliner Elena Shvab.
Styles include the classic cowl neck, a smooth A-line skirt and elegant 3/4 length sleeves in a colour palette of ivory and subtle lilac.
Fabric used for this dress style is the softly draped crimped crepe – lightweight with a gauze-like texture.
For those of you who prefer a bolder colour, Omar has also added shades of blue in to his colour palette.
Above left the kimono style dress in shiny satin charmeuse and cheerful sky blue hue creates a playful and carefree look.
For a simple sophisticated look, above right is the stylish cowl neck maxi dress in dull silk. The understated elegance of dull silk teamed with a bold sapphire colour ensures this outfit gets noticed.
Last but not least is the faux wrap dress in ivory with cuffed sleeves.
Here paired with the Mathilde hat piece by milliner Elena Shvab.
Omar has used sustainable fabric.
