If you are attending the Queen’s Stand on Investec Derby Day then there are strict rules for the dress code.

Ladies must wear a formal day dress or tailored trouser suit with a hat or a substantial fascinator. For all other days of the festival the dress code in the Queen’s Stand is: Ladies are asked to wear a hat or fascinator.

Karen Gold, one of our top five inspiration women’s fashion designers to follow, specialises in the formal day outfit. Here Karen’s structured dress is cut from her signature Aso oke, (meaning Top Cloth,) a hand loomed fabric from Sub Saharan Africa. She contrasts the zesty lime green hand silk embroidered fabric with a fresh white delicate organza neckline and short sleeves. Karen explores the merging of sustainable fashion with classic styles.

Price £199 from Karen Gold.
