Top Model 2021 Award Show featuring Aga Couture, Louise Rose Couture & Desire Avenue

The Top Model 2021 Awards event was held in September at the 5 star Royal Horseguards Hotel in central London.

Taking place during London Fashion Week, the model finalists were lucky enough to be able to strut down the catwalk in the latest creations of various fashion designers.

Featuring various categories, the model finalists in the UK Editorial and the Over 25’s category wore Aga Couture, Louise Rose Couture and Desire Avenue.

Aga Couture London

Aga Couture is a London based fashion house devoted to creating handmade, beautiful, elegant feminine clothes for the modern and stylish woman.

 Paige from Liverpool and winner of the UK Editorial Fresh Face (under 19yrs) Award sashayed down the runway in Aga’s tropical print crop top and maxi wrap skirt. Paige also won Public Charity Award – raising the most money for the Top Model Foundation charity (see details re the charity at the bottom of this article)

Maisie from Staffordshire, the winner of the UK Editorial Fashionista (20–29yrs) also wore Aga – a rich burgundy wetlook top and brocade print trousers.

Hannah from Craigavon won the first runner up place and looked classically chic in a LBD.

Second runner up Freya from Surrey looked angelic in a white dress with lace inserts but added a dramatic touch with the black corset belt.

Staying with the classic black was (L–R):

Natasha from London who won the Beach Body Award, Holly from Edinburgh in a striking  one shoulder jumpsuit and Zoe from Lincoln in a figure hugging dress with ruffle hemline.

Our Favourites for A Day at the Races

 Katie from Dublin won the Photographic Award and looked a picture in the striking leopard print mini dress. 

Ailsa from Monmouthshire’s chiffon dress would keep you looking and feeling cool on sunny hot day at the races and Julia from Leeds’ strapless red dress with statement bow would look wonderful worn with an oversized hat for any race (except Royal Ascot Rules).

The jazzy ’70s print on Mollie from Surrey’s maxi slip dress juxtaposes glamour and a dash of  festive vibe – great for  Glorious Goodwood. 

Erika from Bedford goes classic with a touch of vintage in a white prom style dress.

For those cooler autumn racedays, Isabella from Merseyside’s velvet jumpsuit will keep you warm and stylish.

Louise Rose Couture

Louise Rose Couture is a British evening wear and bridal label, creating stunning unique gowns for ethereal dreamers featuring vintage accents for the modern woman.

Laurita from Surrey won the Over 25’s Award for 36yrs plus and looked ethereal in Louise Rose’s flowing bridal gown which was quite apt as the gown is part of the Ethereal Dreams collection. Adorned with a dash of colourful floral appliques and separate tulle sleeves

First runner up, Joanna from Surrey, also wore a gown from the Ethereal Dreams collection.

Our Favourites for A Day at the Races

Parminder from London wore a ’50s inspired occasion dress made from a silvery grey and white floral organza lined with a white shantung base. The structured bodice has subtle pleating detail to complement the gathered skirt and the dress is finished off with an in-built belt, matching piping detail and halter straps.

Claire from St Albans wore a high–low skirt featuring a large floral print in a satin mikado fabric which was fully lined and complete with pockets. Teamed with a cropped ivory bodice with spaghetti straps and covered buttons made from satin backed faille.

Agnieska from Worcester wore a saucy wide leg jumpsuit of soft silk in muted pastel with a lace insert covering the midriff.

Desire Avenue

Desire Avenue produce stunning garments that make women feel powerful and empowered.  At the awards, they presented their autumn/winter collection which is ready to purchase now via their website.

Maksuda from Dublin won the Over 25’s Award for 26–35yrs and wore a fitted cream and black evening dress with striking one shoulder long sleeve puffed out at the bottom.

Second runner up Kate from Fasely was dazzling in a red embroidered jumpsuit.

Two more Ladies in Red were Dik Maya from Middlesex who won Natural Beauty Skin and Suzy who is Miss Manchester 2020.

Dik Maya’s exotic red lace evening gown with side slit was worn with a black tulle robe with large puff sleeves and long trail. Suzy’s vermillion off the shoulder ball gown was adorned with black and red feathers around the bodice. The full skirt has a cheeky thigh high slit. Not shown here, but the dress can also be worn with detachable puff sleeves to create more drama.

It has to be Desire Avenue’s wool cape blazer suits!

Winner of the Beach Body Award, Kelly from Sidcup looked pretty in pink wool cape and pinafore style mini dress combo contrasted with dark teal pussy bow blouse and their bright red fedora hat. Winner of the Natural Body Curve Awards, Sandra from Sheffield looked colourfully elegant in mustard yellow long dress matched with a Red Riding Hood style cape. Sorcha from Cork went for a cape in classic camel teamed with patterned mini dress and cream fedora hat.

Laetitia from London wore a blue cape with matching shorts playsuit and white pussy bow blouse; Letricia from Dundalk and Aleksandra from London both opted for the cape and shorts set. Letricia wore the teal green cape and shorts set with a deep beige bow blouse and black fedora hat whilst Aleksandra wore the black and silver pattern with dove grey blouse.

The Top Model Foundation for sick children and children in need is a non-profit independent charity dedicated to improving and changing the lives of children and young people in the UK. The charity was established as a fashion, beauty and creative industry initiative in 2019; founded by a small group of individuals from a variety of industry professions. The Top Model Foundation helps causes and appeals where assets, equipment or grants will make the biggest difference and working directly with those in need.
