On those chilly autumn/winter racedays, your coat will probably be the only part of your outfit on view. Here are a few statement coats from London Fashion Week AW20 to ensure you will stylishly stand out from the crowd.
Olivia Rubin brings a touch of summer to the colder months with her oversized colour block coat in light pink, lilac and grey. Shoes by Dune London.
Agne Kuzmickaite. Using her signature butterfly motif, this season sees a white butterfly print on black background for her voluminous padded coat with matching bucket hat (bodysuit optional).
Ashish, prince of sequins, shows a midi coat embellished with gold and silver sequins in a chevron pattern. Worn here with his colourful mini dress with sequins in a larger chevron design.
He goes wild with crystal beads embellished leopard print coat and matching mini dress.
Footwear by Harry Evans.
Mark Fast shows the faux fur coat is still on trend. Here in bold royal blue to make a statement. Knitted boots are in Fast’s signature ribbed elastomeric yarn.
Rohmir also goes for the faux fur coat. She chooses a playful blue leopard print. Here worn with a silk mini dress with whimsical blue lace skirt overlay.
Rohmir uses shaggy faux fur for the exaggerated collar of a midi tweed coat. The coat in a cheerful teal shade is trimmed with long frayed threads on the sleeves.
Yuhan Wang collection is inspired by the Victorian era with its delicate feminine sensibility. A cosy dressing gown style coat is of a short pile faux fur with a soft Monet-esque water lily motif. Another mid length coat has a floral tapestry type print with frayed edging around the collar, front and sleeves.
Both worn with Louis heeled fabric footwear. Jewellery by Kay Guo.
Tumiila by Tumisola Ladega, a fashion graduate from the University of Westminster, AW20 collection features a statement trench coat with an eyecatching patchwork design of different snake prints.
Karolina Brown, Another fashion graduate from the University of Westminster, has also designed a statement trench coat. Her trench coat is of clashing prints and rich fabric textures adorned with a scattering of shiny floral appliqués and sparkling gem like embellishments.
