Grandstand Enclosure Dress Code

Going to Ladies’ Day at Royal Ascot? Remember it is not just the Royal Enclosure with a dress code.

Since last year the Grandstand Enclosure is also subject to a few rules and if you do break them you run the risk of being refused entry.

Grandstand Enclosure – formal daywear encouraged.

We’re backing the Firm Fashion Favourites of: Bold Brights and Floral Prints.

The Grandstand Enclosure dress code is as follows:

Headwear: Before last year, headwear wasn’t obligatory in the Grandstand Enclosure, but now a headpiece or fascinator should be worn at all times.

Make a sunny statement in Alexandra Harper’s Light of Day headpiece in bright mango yellow (pictured right). Price £280.

The headpiece is adorned with hand-tooled silk flowers, stripped coque feathers, petersham ribbon and vintage veiling.

N.B. This headpiece is also large enough for the Royal Enclosure.

Available here.

Neckline Rules: No strapless or sheer strap dresses/tops are permitted.

Like the Royal Enclosure the wearing of a jacket or matching bolero over a dress does not count – the actual dress still has to follow the guidelines.

Skirt length: There are no rules on the length of your skirt, so this short Ambra dress from Coast will show off your gorgeous pins to perfection.

In watermelon pink, the high neckline of this floaty chiffon dress is heavily embellished with shiny neon pink beads whilst the back has a sheer mesh panel. Price £115.

Available here.

Stick to the fruity theme and wear a pair of Konplott watermelon earrings.

The Light of Day headpiece is small enough to be able to carry off these statement earrings.

Price £42 available from Zalando.

Elongate your legs with Dune’s Arwenn extreme pointed court shoes in fuchsia patent. Price £69.

Available here.

The court shoes are high and extremely pointed, so bring along a pair of Cocorose London foldable flats to give your feet a break. The flats also come with their own bag to carry your heels.

Their Islington yellow foldable loafers will keep to the bright and cheerful colour palette. Price £48.

Available here.

Add sparkle with one or two chunky crystal bangles from What’s About town.

They come in array of colours and are £21.95 each.

Available here.

Floral prints are blooming this summer in the fashion stakes.

The floral print in the Faith hard case clutch helps to draw all the block colours together.

Available from Debenhams for £40 – click here.

Midriffs: Crop tops may be the hottest trend this summer but at Royal Ascot the rule is Definitely no bare midriffs and that also means no midriffs just covered in sheer fabrics. Also No fancy dress, novelty or promotional/branded clothing allowed.
