Marvellous milliner Tracy Rose has been enthralling Royal Ascot visitors with her creations for year… and like so many others she was disappointed to learn that thanks to Covid-19 the famous festival is to be run behind closed doors this year.
Determined not to let this spoil her fun, Tracy as organised a Royal Ascot enclosure of her own, and she is inviting YOU to be her guests:
“Obviously, like everyone else who has booked for Royal Ascot it’s a great disappointment that it won’t be open to the public,” she says. “However, we’ve come up with a wonderful idea for people to enjoy some of the thrill of the event in their own home, #StayHomeEnclosure, whilst raising money for a thank you to the NHS.
“This would have been the 39th year I would have been creating hats for Royal Ascot. So wear your Ascot outfit! See what everyone else is wearing. There will be guests coming on talking about the racing, the Royals and the fashion! Hopefully, we’ll all be watching the Royal Ascot racing on ITV alongside our Zoom event.
“We are all so grateful to NHS heroes that we thought it would be a great idea to raise money for some of them to come to Royal Ascot next year. It would be a thank you from all of us and a boost when their mental health may have taken a downturn due to what they have experienced in the war against Covid-19.
“There will be £10 donation to enter the Stay Home Enclosure per person. But if you can donate more that would be wonderful as we want to be able to thank as many NHS staff as possible.”
The event will take place on Tuesday 16th June 2020, 1.30pm–4pm (times to be confirmed). Please email [email protected] for donation and event details.

Karen can usually be found glued to her computer or at the stables. Having edited several national magazines she co-founded Eclipse Magazine in 2008 after realising that many of her friends were nervous about going racing due to lack of information – what to wear, how to bet etc.
She absolutely loves her job (how many people can say that?!) and is truly grateful to all supporters of and contributors to Eclipse Magazine.
If you are reading this she would like to say THANK YOU! (And please spread the word about Eclipse…!!)
