For Simon Carter, it all started with a trip to the Chelsea antiques market in 1985….. there he found a few brooches and began an extraordinary journey.
He started designing brooches and the business grew as cufflinks, watches and glasses got added to the selection. This soon earned him the title, that he is still proud of – “The King of Cufflinks”.
Simon Carter’s designs soon took off, and grew into a truly international brand.
The personality of Simon himself remains at the heart of the Simon Carter brand: witty, erudite and a little bit eccentric! The company was built on Simon’s love for all things vintage and different. The brand philosophy is rooted in a tradition of eclectic English style, taking classic forms and adding a twist of eccentricity.
“My inspiration comes from the world around me. It could be a feather, acorn, a car or something I see in a book – what I see on my way to work could very well make its way into next year’s collection.”
