Titled ‘Primal Instinct’ Karina Bond takes inspiration from the natural world.
She pays homage to the raw emotions that connect us with all living creatures – from the fiercest predators to the most delicate beings.

Bond explains: “When we strip away the smoke and mirrors of cultural dominance, we share the same subconscious behaviours that were programmed in our ancestors, with panthers and antelopes alike.”

An array of intricate materials are used from textured faux alligator skin to delicate 3D printed jellyfish tentacles.

Transparent fabrics contrast with heavily embellished textiles creating a sensual dichotomy between vulnerability and power.

Bond continues her sustainability using deadstock fabrics, handmade embellishments and one of a kind samples in her local London atelier.

Colour palette is of earthy tones combined with bold combinations of lime green, turquoise and magenta.

Each piece is carefully constructed to act as a second skin.
