Huntingdon Racecourse near Brampton has hosted Jump racing since 1886. During the 18th and 19th centuries, racing took place at a variety of race tracks in Huntingdonshire and Cambridgeshire, but these days, only Huntingdon Races has survived as an active racecourse.

Site of Special Scientific Interest
Jump racing has taken place at Huntingdon Racecourse near Brampton since 1886. ‘Brampton Racecourse’ (at the same location) is now a Site of Special Scientific Interest. During the 18th and 19th centuries, there had been races at a variety of tracks in Huntingdonshire and Cambridgeshire, but of these only Huntingdon Racecourse has survived (though nearby Cottenham continues as a very successful point-to-point track).
Desert Orchid
Many famous horses have graced Huntingdon Racecourse over the years, most notably the legendary Desert Orchid.
