Jewellery Designers To Follow: Jewellery adds another layer to your raceday outfit – an outstanding piece can add wow-factor to an understated or informal outfit, while a simpler design can quietly enhance an eye-catching hat or dress.

We also love jewellery that can be worn with other pieces to different effect, either by layering or mixing and matching with various pieces. Build up a selection of quality jewellery pieces and between them you can style any outfit for success!

And don’t think men don’t need to bother – quality cufflinks, tie clips and signet rings can all make subtle but genuine statements.

Here are four fabulous designers to follow:

KONPLOTT

Miranda Konstantinidou became internationally known through her Konplott jewellery brand. In 2012 she introduced her high fashion Resort & Cruise Collection creating lots of attention, a symbiosis of fashion, jewellery and accessories. The enormous variety of her creations is legendary.

Miranda was born in Greece, studied fashion illustration and fashion design in Italy and Germany. Today she has more than 1,300 employees worldwide, 99% of them are women. “We are a female-company,” says the designer who is seen as ‘The Queen of Colour’ for many years. With headquarters in Cebu, Philippines and in Luxembourg, Miranda Konstantinidou relies strongly upon solidarity and a strong company culture.

WE SAY: With her immense passion for costume jeweelery, Miranda’s work is a treasure trove of hugely exciting colours, designs and shapes, her imagination is endless. How to choose just one piece? Thankfully the fair prices mean you need not limit yourself to that!

H.AZEEM

H.AZEEM is a London based award-winning jewellery brand that crafts its jewellery to complement and elevate the beauty of natural gemstones.

The focus of H.AZEEM’s jewellery is on quality and versatility – creating timeless designs that impress as both day and evening wear.

H.AZEEM’s jewellery is feminine and sophisticated with a modern twist; the perfect recipe for Race Day dressing.

WE SAY: Hinna Azeem fell in love with the gems and jewellery of a travelling merchant as a young girl. Hats off to this amazing talent who, while maintaining a job in the City, spent her evenings studying jewellery making and design at Central St. Martin’s College of Art and Design – resulting in an award-winning brand and stunning jewellery with an exotic twist.

DOWER & HALL

The various collections at Dower & Hall offer something to suit any raceday occasion, from elegant but understated earrings and cuffs to complement a Ladies’ Day outfit, to eye-catching and personalised gemstone collections for statement festivals such as The Derby and Glorious Goodwood.

Pictured here, the Nomad collection takes inspiration from the organic shapes and patterns that are found in nature, from pebbles washed up on British seashores, to the outlines that are formed in the dry desert landscapes of the great continent of Africa. Mixed metal bangles, free-formed pendants and bold geometric shaped earrings add a contemporary feel to this free-spirited range.

WE SAY: We love the way so many of Dower & Hall’s pieces are designed to stack or layer together – so you can start with one bangle, ring or necklace and keep adding or mixing and matching to create your own unique look. Wear less for everyday racing, and bling it on for the big occasions!
