EM DESIGN AWARDS: During the summer and winter racing seasons, a legion of independent designers and makers create beautiful pieces for racegoers to use and wear at the races.
To celebrate their creativity and quality of work, especially at a time when so many businesses have been affected by the lack of racing due to coronovirus, we are delighted to announce the inaugural annual EM Design Awards (EclipseMagazine.co.uk).
If you know a fabulous designer or independent business in any of the categories below, please send in a nomination or take time to vote for those who have already been nominated, to give them a boost at a time when they might be feeling low.
Winners will be announced after Midsummer’s Day (closing date: 24th June 2020, midnight).
Criteria:
- Independent designers/businesses (UK or anywhere but must be able to ship to UK)
- Designs are products you would buy for a big raceday (winter or summer)
- Budget no object
- Good quality and consistent range of products – not just one item you like
- Must have website (preferably can buy from website but otherwise at least a good showcase of their work)
- Etsy designers allowed

HOW TO NOMINATE AND VOTE
- To nominate an independent designer/business please complete the form below.
- Nominations are open until 15th May 2020, at which point, we will shortlist the nominees. The designers with the most nominations will be shortlisted. (In the event of a tie, the Eclipse Magazine team will each have a vote.)
- Designers may nominate themselves, but it will only count as one vote. They may invite their clients/followers to vote for them as well!
- When the shortlist is revealed, readers will be able to vote for their favourites from the shortlist. These votes will be added to the nominations votes to decide the winners. (Again, in the event of a tie, the Eclipse Magazine team will each have a vote.)
- Only one nomination and/or vote in each category per person please.

Karen can usually be found glued to her computer or at the stables. Having edited several national magazines she co-founded Eclipse Magazine in 2008 after realising that many of her friends were nervous about going racing due to lack of information – what to wear, how to bet etc.
She absolutely loves her job (how many people can say that?!) and is truly grateful to all supporters of and contributors to Eclipse Magazine.
