As the first major Flat racing festival of the year, celebrate and go flat out with a cool cosmopolitan look.

Dazzle them in Madrid-based Duarte’s russet orange double breasted suit – a ray of statement sunshine amongst the usual grey and blue suits. This Spanish menswear brand was founded in 2016 with Kiko Font as their creative director and offers contemporary tailored pieces of clothing.

Not the normal six by two button style, this double breasted jacket has two rows of eight buttons and is a little longer in length. The loose fit trouser has a high waist with a front pleat. Both made of 100% wool.

Available from UK based Wolf and Badger, the go to platform for many independent brands and new designers from both the UK and abroad. Price Blazer £400 and Trouser £180.

Wow them in a Welsh Garden Print shirt by Lords Of Harlech.

Lords of Harlech describe themselves as a secretive fellowship of talented designers who met in 2015 in the shadows under the ramparts of Harlech castle and swore an oath to create a brand of such beauty never seen before in this fair land. These designer lords may not actually be Welsh knights, but the concept was born in Wales.

With button down collar, the shirt is a trim European fit and washed poplin made with long staple compact cotton. Price £120 available from Wolf and Badger.

Another secretive brand is Tom Astin men’s accessories based in Stockholm. Founded by Jimmy Bjornhard, he listened to friends and family talking about their favourite piece of clothing that gave them the extra confidence boost needed for certain occasions and so decided to start a men’s accessories brand based on that feeling. The name is definitely not Swedish but was inspired by a stylish British gentlemen with the same name who lives in Stockholm.
