A luxury fragrance brand blending artisanal perfumery with pure raw ingredients sourced in an environmentally and socially responsible way. Living in harmony with the environment and supporting the local communities who help cultivate these ingredients are at the core of the brand’s ethos.

Each fragrance can be worn on its own or paired with another to create a bespoke personal scent.

Packaging is reusable and recyclable minimising the amount of waste produced: cellophane is derived from corn, ink is non-toxic soy and water based, cap is from sustainable wood. 

Perfect for wintry days is Hemp & Ginger, from the Avant Garden collection. A woody earthy fragrance with a spicy kick of ginger.

  • Top notes: bergamot, ginger
  • Heart: cardamom, Sichuan pepper
  • Base notes: oud, saffron

Shay & Blue

Vegan fragrances, cruelty free, certified by PETA, sustainable, ethical and clean.

Using real flowers, fruit and spices, Shay & Blue work with their suppliers in Grasse (South of France) to make sure any naturals are sustainably harvested and rare crops are replanted after harvesting.

Free from parabens, phthalates, synthetic dyes, nitro musks, aluminium, formaldehydes, petrolatum and paraffin. This is one reason the bottles are tinted, as this protects the fragrance from light damage and so allows Shay & Blue to skip potentially hazardous chemicals and stabilisers.

Packaging is from recycled materials.

Handcrafted in England and matured in vats for over three months before hand filling.

Latest fragrance is Blackberry Woods.

  • Heart: neroli and lemon leaves
  • Base note: cypress woods

Floral Street

Launched in November 2017 by founder Michelle Feeney, Floral Street fragrances are vegan and cruelty free accredited by PETA.

Their curved glass bottles are presented in biodegradable pulp cartons and packaging that is recyclable, reusable, compostable and now refillable! (at their Covent Garden store). 

Perfumer Jerome Epinette created each fragrance using sustainable raw materials sourced and synthesised by the fragrance house Robertet.

The best winter scents are Black Lotus and Ylang Ylang Espresso.

Black Lotus is an oriental woody fragrance and described as ‘The classic English rose dressed in a black leather jacket’ with a sweet honeyed scent of centrifolia rose and spicy nuances of red peppercorn and saffron.

Ingredients are; Jasmine, Saffron, Papyrus, Black Cherry, Red Peppercorn, Saffron Centifolia Rose, black violet accord, narcotic musk flower, patchouli fraction, labdanum and black leather.

Eden Perfumes

For those who find it hard to ditch their favourite fragrance for a cleaner perfume, Eden Perfumes is the answer as they are masters of creating a natural alternative and cruelty free vegan equivalent. Price £18 for 30ml EDP.
