We all love to pamper our pets at Christmas, so whether you’re buying a gift for your pet or looking for a gift for a pet owner, there are plenty of fun and fabulous options out there!
London based milliner, Awon Golding has created a special calendar for 2019 to raise money for London-based dog charity, All Dogs Matter. She teamed up with pet photographer, Rachel Oates and 11 dog-loving couture milliners including Phillip Tracey and Rachel Trevor Morgan. Each month of the calendar features an ex-All Dogs Matter rescue dog wearing a one-of-kind hat by an all-star milliner.
Awon adopted her dog Stevie from All Dogs Matters and is raising money for the charity by selling these calendars via a crowdfunding campaign. So far the calendar has raised over £7,000.

If your pets get overexcited by a traditional Christmas tree and its oh-so-tempting dangly decorations, you might like to try this ‘pet friendly’ alternative from Fatboy. The ‘Edison the Petit’ table light comes with a choice of two sizes of ‘lampshade’ and 24 different designs of pattern. Sturdy enough to survive an enthusiastic pet hug, it also avoids tree needles getting stuck in paws.
ECLIPSE TIP: The Edison makes a great lamp without a ‘cappie’ too (it has a plain white ‘shade’), so simply take off the topper when Christmas is over, and next year you might like to refresh with a different design!
PRICE: Edison the Petit £64.95; Xmas Cooper Cappies – tall £19.95, short £14.95; from Fatboy.
Karen can usually be found glued to her computer or at the stables. Having edited several national magazines she co-founded Eclipse Magazine in 2008 after realising that many of her friends were nervous about going racing due to lack of information – what to wear, how to bet etc.
She absolutely loves her job (how many people can say that?!) and is truly grateful to all supporters of and contributors to Eclipse Magazine.
If you are reading this she would like to say THANK YOU! (And please spread the word about Eclipse…!!)
