Paris Fashion Week SS16

Titled The Active Intellectual – Chandran’s SS16 collection was created for the woman that exists through spontaneity with a deconstructive nature.

An image of an aircraft carrier landing pad acts as a backdrop to the catwalk emphasising the subtle military touches in the guise of jumpsuits, embroidered wings emblem and a colour palette including battleship grey.

Silhouettes reflect a more active approach and demonstrate a contemporary sports luxe style with the athletic racer front neckline seen throughout the collection.

Bernard fuses silk chiffon, metallic leather, silk organza, lurex and cottons to develop a light fluidity for the hot summer months.

Soft colour palette of beige, peach, pale blue and yellow juxtaposes with hot metallics finished with extreme sport trimmings.

Our favourites for a day at the races:

This LBD has a statement makeover with its part lurex bodice and floaty sash.

In show-stopping yellow with black side stripe and lurex neckline.

Cute mini dress in baby blue. Although the outline of the racer front neckline is present, the lurex short sleeves make this dress raceday friendly.

A touch of fluff adds fun and frivolity to a sexy silver metallic mini dress.

You’re sure to shine in this white embellished lurex dress.
