Award-winning British artist Paloma Faith is set to bring the flat racing calendar to a thrilling close this year when she hits the decks at QIPCO British Champions Day at Ascot racecourse on Saturday 17th October.

Building on the success of last year’s event, the BRIT Award winning singer will headline the official Champions Day after-party which kicks off immediately after racing has finished, on what is the richest raceday in the British calendar.

Paloma won a BRIT Award this year for the Best Female Solo Artist, and (following Glastonbury) will be playing at T in the Park and V Festival, before treating racegoers to a DJ set on racing’s richest day.

She said: “I’m excited to be DJing at the amazing Ascot racecourse and will be getting the crowd up on their feet and dancing after they’ve enjoyed all the action on track. I’m hoping that some of them will be able to give me some racing tips on the day too.”

QIPCO British Champions Series Chief Executive Rod Street said: “QIPCO British Champions Day is one of the best day’s racing in the World and we’re delighted that it should be rounded off in such style by such an acclaimed artist as Paloma. Last year’s after-party was a massive hit with racegoers and I am sure that with Paloma on the decks this year the day will have even more of a celebratory and party atmosphere. We’re expecting another big crowd to watch, not only the final day of the Championship season, but also the fantastic after party.”

With over £4 million in prize money and featuring a card that boasts four Group 1 races, QIPCO British Champions Day is the richest raceday in Great Britain and where, for the first time this year, the winner of the Stobart Flat Jockeys’ Championship will be crowned in front of a large crowd and live on Channel 4.
