If we’ve all stayed true to our New Year’s resolution of getting in shape this year, then what better way to show off that hard work than with some luxurious Valentines lingerie?

With just two weeks ’til the frenzied exchanging of gifts begins, why not get something you and your partner can enjoy together? While we receive chocolates, roses and champagne, often the man in our life is simply left with a card and some other random gimmick of a gift.

Here are just a few picks to whet your appetite, from the huge range of Valentines lingerie available. There is something for everyone no matter what your bodyshape…

This Angelica Peony set from Myla consists of a plunge bra for a great cleavage which is £105, and matching thong £35. If you’re not comfortable in showing all of your bottom then there is a brief as an alternative. The suspenders are £59, you just need to add your own pair of seductive stockings.

Forget frumpy dressing gowns, for Valentines this is the perfect cover-up, so you can keep your modesty and still look gorgeous. It’s from M&S £35.

If your problem area (like so many women) is your bottom and you hate showing that dreaded cellulite, then I think this red lace trim playsuit is ideal. Its available from F&F at Tesco for just £10…This is my bargain of the week!

Now onto the bust…

If you’re small-chested and want to cheat a little bit then there are a few recommendations I can make: M&S do a great range of bras to help increase your bust by 2 sizes, retailing at around £25 which is fantastic, and they come in a great range of colours and prints.

Alternatively Ultimo also offers a lovely range this one is a fixed gel plunge called ‘Miracle Solutions’ and is also just £24; well worth the small investment.

And if you’re blessed in this region then there are also some lovely sets to support your bust. This red lace detail set is from Simply Yours, the bra comes in at £40 and the brief is £24. Underwire is a must for a larger bust as you need the support, and the while the coverage on this cup is ample, the lace ensures it stays looking sexy rather than frumpy.

If you really want to go to town with your Valentine’s lingerie, then accessorise with a set of pearls and finish with stiletto heels.
