British Champions Day 2015

This October students will once again be able to attend QIPCO British Champions Day for free, following on from the success of last year when over 1,500 students took advantage to attend the Flat season’s end-of-season finale.

The ticket allocation has been extended this year to allow 2,500 students to attend the day, making it one of the UK’s top days of sport available free to students. Alongside the action on the track, there will be an after-party where BRIT Award-winning artist Paloma Faith will be DJing.

The aim of the initiative is to attract students to the sport through a day of top-class racing action that includes four Group 1 races, as well as an after-party and an exclusive student area. Students just need to register for their free ticket on the Ascot Website www.ascot.co.uk using the promotional code STUDENTSBCD.

Activities on the day will also be geared to engaging the young crowd with the Sport of Kings, offering equicizer sessions, pundits to mark their card and a set of dedicated racemakers who will be based in the Student Area and will be on hand to advise any fledgling racegoers.

The student day on QIPCO British Champions Day is generously being supported by Sheikh Fahad Al Thani of QIPCO Holding, who said, “My brothers and I consider British racing to be the best in the world. Nowhere else can match the quality and the heritage of racing in Britain.

“QIPCO British Champions Day is a celebration of the best of British racing, the day on which the season’s champions are crowned and as such it is the perfect platform from which to introduce the next generation of racegoers to the sport. It is very important to QIPCO that the sport is made accessible to young people and it was very rewarding to see so many students take up the offer last year and enjoy what is a very special day of racing.”
