Piggott 2,000 Guineas: To mark the 60th anniversary since he claimed his first victory in the 2,000 Guineas aboard Crepello, Lester Piggott has spoken about that momentous year, 1957, during which he claimed no fewer than eight races which now make up the QIPCO British Champions Series. Henderson is top of the Trainers for fourth time

Nicky Henderson won the Champion Jump Trainer title for a fourth time in his career on Saturday 24th April at Sandown Park Racecourse after a tightly fought battle with defending champion Paul Nicholls. Henderson claimed the championship, which is based on total prize money won through the duration of the season (April to April), after putting enough distance between himself and Nicholls on the final day of the season. HISTORIC THIRSK HUNT CUP TAKES CENTRE STAGE

A race which began with the intention of bringing together some leading hunters from around the country, will attract some top mile handicappers when the historic Thirsk Hunt Cup takes centre stage on Saturday 6th May.
