Organisers of the world’s most famous steeplechase today reported that ticket sales for the John Smith’s Grand National meeting remain strong with admission sales currently standing at 24% higher than at this time in 2010.
Although demand for seated enclosures has been high since going on sale back in August (2010), it is Aintree’s largest general admission enclosure, Tattersalls which is leading the healthy increase. Seats are still available on Grand National Day within the Princess Royal Stand through the Winner’s Bar package and standing availability is available within the County Stand and Terraces on the Earl of Derby and Lord Sefton Stands.
Raceday hospitality remains strong, however, restaurant hospitality is still available every day of the meeting, including within the racecourses new restaurant facility overlooking the Parade Ring, Paddock Lodge.
Julian Thick, Aintree’s Managing Director, commented, “We are very pleased with advance sales for the 2011 John Smith’s Grand National meeting and we are currently working on some exciting entertainment initiatives for the three-day meeting which will be announced in the weeks ahead, add that to AP McCoy’s victory in the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards and we’re on track another fantastic event in 2011.”
The racecourse advises anyone who wishes to attend any day of the John Smith’s Grand National meeting, to purchase their desired option in advance to avoid disappointment.
