A calendar date that is a highlight of any serious style aficionado is Plumpton Ladies’ Day. The event was very well attended with many booking early and taking advantage of the punter-pleasing £10 advance ticket offer. Guests were treated to some more potential financial boosts by organised paddock commentaries and tipster talks, plus there was a fun festival feel in the air with a stilt walker, a face painter, some live music and the shopping village.
The weather may not have shone as brightly as last year, but the ladies certainly did. Taking first prize in the ‘Best Dressed Lady’ competition was Margaret Booker from Alfriston. But it was not only the ladies shining. The men and children shone too with prizes for ‘Best Dressed Man’ going to Steve Belfield from Lewes, and ‘Best Dressed Child’ won by Chloe Ellman-Baker.
What a fun, glamourous and prize-giving social event!
