Huntingdon Ladies Day 2011 - Huntingdon Ladies Evening May 2011

Ladies’ Evening on Tuesday 24th May marked the end of Huntingdon’s 2010/2011 jump season with a glamorous night out for all. This year’s event was held in association with RacingHearts.co.uk – the introduction service for racing dates and mates run by Eclipsemagazine.co.uk.

With competitions for the Best Dressed Lady and Best Dressed Little Lady racegoers came dressed to impress.
A fabulous first prize entitled the lucky winner to a romantic three-day weekend break at Braywood House – including champers and chocolates! www.braywoodhouse.com. PLUS a fabulous tailor-made two-hour spa session at The Sanctuary in Cambridge www.thesanctuary.co.uk

Second prize was a gorgeous headpiece from HT Headwear (www.htheadwear.com) PLUS a pair of beautiful CocoRose London shoes (www.cocoroselondon.com)

Third prize was a voucher for unique DottieChic PLUS a pair of Hunter Boots from Target Wholesale (www.targetwholesale.co.uk)
The Best Dressed Little Lady prizes were a range of truly scrumptious decorated hairbands from www.TheLollipopEmporium.com PLUS a cuddly toy Dulux dog www.dulux.co.uk

Huntingdon Racecourse is an intimate racing venue with an atmosphere all of its own. It is home to 17 Jump race meetings, spanning nine months of the year.

Voted Best Small Racecourse in the South Midlands and East Anglia by the Racegoers Club, the course is less than five minutes from the pretty market town of Huntingdon set in the heart of the Cambridgeshire countryside.

EclipseMagazine.co.uk celebrated its third anniversary in May and to mark the occasion the Eclipsemagazine.co.uk team handed out a FREE GIFT to the first 100 people to visit their stand.

RacingHearts.co.uk also teamed up with Connect FM to provide a fun ‘Famous Couples Hot Spot’ game – racegoers claimed a badge from one of the Connect FM team on course and enjoyed the search for their ‘other half’ as an excuse to make new friends. The first ‘red’, ‘blue’ and ‘green’ pair to find each other reported to the Eclipse stand to win a bottle of Champagne, kindly donated by The Co-operative.

On the Eclipse stand, fashion guru Karen Grace was offering advice on both men’s and women’s fashion. She is a Personal Shopper & Image Consultant for www.frumpytofunky.com and fashion writer for http://mensstyling.blogspot.com as well as a regular contributor to www.eclipsemagazine.co.uk.

Let loose with the microphone, tipster Tony Ward reviewed the card for the evening and discussed statistics, trends and paddock judging with visitors to the Eclipse Stand. Tony is based in Cumbria and writes daily betting tips for www.eclipsemagazine.co.uk as well as the Paddock Tips on Twitter. See http://freelanceracingwriter.com/

On the track we were treated to some fine displays of race riding by AP McCoy who also took time to pose with young fans for photos in between races – what a superstar.

Eclipse would like to thank Huntingdon Racecourse and all the visitors to their stand for a great evening – we hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did!
