An assistant trainer from North Yorkshire is making great strides in the racing world to bring horse racing to a wider audience, despite being just 23-years-old.

One of horseracing’s all-time greats has launched a special racing syndicate to help raise funds for national charity Kidney Research UK – the UK’s leading funder of research into the treatment and prevention of kidney disease.

Olympic Gold Medallist and Heptathlon Champion, Denise Lewis joined champion trainer Richard Hannon and Harry Herbert in Wiltshire on Monday 5 March to watch her horse, Tassel, work.
As the stars of Downton Abbey filmed the ‘Christmas special’ at Highclere Castle, the estate also played host to one of the most sought-after invitations in the racing world.
